Thanks Deborah for commenting; always a pleasure to have you around. I believe there were some basic things that my parents did right, and which will help any parent striving to raise Godly children. (1) My dad and mum loved each other. They were best friends, and I believe this is their greatest gift to me. (2) My parents lived the life that they taught us to do. It is to my dad's credit that I always say he's the kind of husband, and the kind of dad I'll love to be. (3) They never spared the rod. They always told us the truth at all times, even if it meant our hating them. (4) They always prayed for us. They still do.
I pray for you and all parents out there doing their best to raise godly children, do not despair, and may the Lord crown your efforts with success and glory, in Jesus name.

He knew and chose u before u were in mothers womb. Blessed is the womb that carried u. To God be the glory. Now, my goodness how best can we do it for our children... 'But nothing was more horrible than the morning and evening family devotions'.

If my teenage kids start to get bored like it happed to you what immediate action should i take, do i give them some breathing space or force them to continue with love. Imagine at that age ... 'stow away in some ship and ....'

Anyhow, thumbs up to my precious Jesus who is above all powers of darkness that he restored you from the ugly claws of the envious liar and loser satan, and, here you are ...a blessing to thousands of souls.

Donna, you said that a lot has happened ever since you heard that voice call you. What exactly do you mean? In any case, I doubt that anyone will be fulfilled with Church routine and ritual - reading, fasting, giving, fellowship, singing, clapping, shouting, dancing before the Lord, falling on the floor (the jamboree experience). All that is mere religion, completely empty and disillusioning all by itself.

I did have my own doubts, as I will be writing about soon - be sure to read it. It is important to understand that what you seek is the reality of God and only He can reveal it to you. I took my doubts directly to Him. I approached with an open heart and I asked Him to help me believe.

So, Donna, look beyond church and her rituals. Look beyond your own religious efforts to find God. Look to Him. He does not judge you. He does not condemn you. But He wants you to find Him, He wants to reveal Himself directly to you, because He has a special purpose for your life. Approach Him directly and personally - in the best way you know how - but be direct and open, and honest too. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
He will. I'm praying for you.
