Unveil the greatness in you!
Some possibilities can only manifest when we embrace certain challenges that are subject to our personal discipline and submit ourselves to authority and constant training which forces us to explore more of ourselves, thereby unveiling the greatness in us and distinguishing us as ROYALTIES.
Most times, you might feel that you know some people so well that you conclude the limit of their performance in certain skills and abilities, without considering the fact that God has give us everything we need for life and godliness–2 peter 1:3;
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all Things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that called us to glory and virtue”
You will never know you can do it until you’re determined to try.
This was the unveiling realities of the Royalty Home Church members who have passionately subjected themselves to serious training in their personal development, especially in their Sunday presentations. People are beginning to believe! And today, Royalty drama presentations are becoming unimaginable to others and has inspired so many to “unveil the greatness in them.”
It didn’t happen by chance; we worked for it by introducing rules that demand discipline and sacrifices, rather than using crowd to mask our mediocrities.
Today we have separated the Kings from the masses, and the dominant words that members now say is “I never thought I could do it.”
This is just the beginning of our exploits, and we’re determined to rule our world.
Royalty Home Church – unveil the greatness in you!
Discipline is a Price for Greatness
Discipline is equated with greatness; it demands a great mind, and wisdom from God. The result of indiscipline is poverty, shame, and the popular ‘crash-program’ people encounter every now and then.
In order to give your life a meaning, you must discipline your mind and actions. You cannot live your life anyhow and expect extraordinary result.
The meeting of the Royalty Home Church this week was more like a theraphy session. It was awesome to see members sincerely sharing their experiences on discipline. Many truly spoke out on how they have been suffering from indiscipline, especially in the areas of time management, and finances.
Then we prayed for those who admitted that they have tried to stop a habit but couldn’t, which in turn was hindering them from achieving more.
Furthermore, I emphasized that discipline is a price we must be willing to pay if we want to be great. The earlier we developed our minds and started making firm decisions on how we live our lives, the better for us.
The begining of failure is the refusal to develop ones self to do more, believing that your best can only come through a ‘mercenary’ doing your work for you.
We decided that, for the ‘Celebration of Talent’ this coming Sunday in Citizens Family Worship ministry, no external artists will be performing with us; rather they will watch us perform.
The Power of Personal Discipline
We cannot just live our lives anyhow and expect to be successful at the end. Success and wealth are for disciplined and spiritual men, as such we must be ready to embrace the challenges of personal discipline; this is how royalties and champions emerge.
To be champions in all areas of our lives, we must be disciplined. This will in turn enhance our physical and spiritual productivity.
As we proceed towards our forth coming ‘Celebration of Talents’, here at the Citizens Family Church, Nigeria, our resolve at the Royalty Home Church is to go back to our Source and what we stand for, in order to dominate our world.
Our inspiration for this discussion on the power of personal discipline came from the Exodus 13:17. How far we travel in life is dependent on how we accept challenges, and on the chances we are willing to take to discipline ourselves, rather than, for instance, using God as an excuse for reckless spending.
During our Home Church bible discussion, I pointed out that genuine royalty is for those who know how to value little things. Maximising the little you have, is the key to multiplication; it’s the key to plug financial leakages.
This discussion was so personalised that each one of was really touched. Consequently, we extended it to go on for the next two weeks, in order to work on ourselves. Feedbacks on individual experiences will be discussed, as we fellowship each week.
Being God’s Best for Us
Because we are created in God’s image and and likeness, we possess unique abilities, skills, and talents. These gifts definitely need to be developed to the point that they glow undeniably to remarkable intensities.
Most importantly, these gifts, as intended by God, are instruments to be harnessed for the good for the edification of mankind, and ultimately for the glory of God.
We fully intend to acknowledge and demonstrate God’s gifts and talents at our forthcoming Festival of Home Churches 2010 . No lone tree can make a forest; hence everyone needs someone to attain to efficiency and optimum functionality. In order to utilize our God-given talents, it is necessary to interact with one another.
Furthermore, we foster inspiration in others as our talents rob off on them.
During this week’s meeting of the Royalty Home Church, we defined the objectives of our performance in the coming Festival as not just to entertain, but also to educate, encourage, as well as inspire every one that attends.
Becoming A Great Leader
Becoming a great leader is no easy matter. It requires the desire to affect your world positively.
If your reaction to this statement is, “I can make a good manager in my work place but am not out to change the world,” then you’ll most likely remain an average leader.
Great leaders cause things to happen through people.
How much you cause the world to change is up to you. It happens by choice, and it defines your success as a leader.
In order to become astute leaders we must personally answer several challenging questions, such as, “How do we take our scarce resources, and transform them into phenomenal results?”
While optimizing our activities in the home church, we realized the need to enhance the participations of members in the goal setting process, because feedbacks and alternative perspectives are essential for the progress of the home church.
Finally, being an astute leader entails a lot of characteristics that aren’t always easy to live up to, and live with. But they will make us strong. By mastering and utilizing effective leadership skills we can be great leaders, by being great leaders we will leave our ‘footprints’ in the ‘sands’ of time.
Join us on this pathway to royalty and nobility…
God bless you.
Live Your Best Life

Our home church meetings have now become so exciting we just can’t wait for the next one!
This week we registered several testimonies – including that of one of us who got a new job – and couldn’t help commencing with a special segment of praise to God. Then we proceeded to intercessory prayers for our loved ones, and our nation as well.
The theme for our interactive bible study was ‘Live Your Best Life’. We drew inspiration from 1Timothy 6:17 and John 10:10.
The interactive segment was something else; not just in terms of the enthusiasm with the theme, but the fascinating manner in which members made their contribuions.
I had asked the members about their most remarkable actions over the past decade, and so the atmosphere was filled with joy as most members reflected on how their lives have blessed others.
Then I encouraged them not to let their lives be determined by external circumstances. “If you do,” I said, “you will live a sub-standard life, a life God didn’t plan for you.”
I also noted that it is crucial each day to move closer to what we want, and move away fom we you don’t want, knowing that our choices and actions determine the value of our lives.
Afterwards we joined hands and prayed.
As we rehearsed for our song presentation for Sunday, we discussed on the need to walk the narrow path of dedication.
Next week we shall be discussing ‘Take Full Control Of Your Life’.
Stay tuned.
Giving Gifts That Matter
A relevant gift is like cold water to a thirsty soul; the receiver blesses the Lord for giving you the wisdom to buy such a gift, and the gift leaves such an impression that years after the gift has been given its still spoken of.
Many are of the opinion that the power of a gift is a matter of how expensive it is, how well packaged it is, and the attitude with which it is given.
Well, in my opinion, the real power of a gift is in its relevance.
Two weeks ago, I was given a gift that touched my soul. Prior to that day all members of our central church were told to present gifts to their home church leaders as part of the Pastor’s Appreciation Day. The home church leaders, in turn, were paired to buy gifts for their supervising pastors.
Because I was part of purchasing a gift for one of the supervising pastors, I decided to find out what the receiver really needed at that point in his life.
You know, sometimes you simply may not know a friend well enough to make an informed decision as to what he or she is longing for at any point in tme.
Well, we were able to find out what he needed most at that moment, which was a big high quality mattress, and pillows to go with it.
Though it was expensive, we made the necessary sacrifices to see to it that he got what he really needed at that point in time, and also to ensure that he would value the gift it as well.
On the other hand, I had no idea as to what gift my home church members were going to present to me! They all kept it secret till it was time for the gift to be presented to me. And they meticulously disguised the gift in a purple polythene bag, which from the outside looked like a well packaged NIV bible!
When it was brought out, however, to my delight, surprise, and relief, it was an expensive smart phone!
I was overwhelmed, speechless and filled with gratitude, not because of the cost of the phone, but because it was so relevant to me – it was exactly what I needed the most at that point in time.
You see, a few months back, I was robbed of my laptop, two cell phones, and a huge sum of money. Since then I’ve had to go to the cyber cafe whenever I need to make use of the internet, because the replacement phone I had after the robbery incident did not have internet browsing capabilities.
I was so overwhelmed with joy that I couldn’t help displaying the phone throughout that day to all and sundry!
Similarly, the leader of Infinity Home Church – Pastor Anuli – was so touched with the gift given to her that she couldn’t hold back the tears of gratitude.
As for the Supervising Pastor to whom we presented the gigantic mattress with soft pillows to, well, till date he still hasn’t stopped expressing his gratitude to me.
A relevant and timely gift can change someone’s life. The more your gifts are personalised and tailored to satisfy urgent and important needs, the more they will be appreciated and valued.
When presenting a gift ask yourself if you have sufficient information about the receiver to be able to give a gift that meets a need; what are the things that could make that person happy?
It is helpful to invest the time to know more about the receiver so you could easily generate helpful ideas as to what gifts the receiver will definitely appreciate.
If you don’t know, then ask those close to them.
Make sure your gifts are relevant. I believe that one act of kindness sets off another, causing a ripple effect. Make your gifts valuable possessions in other lives.
Studies on Influence
Our early bird members arrived sooner than I expected all beaming with seraphic smiles. It was a welcome opportunity for me to motivate them and to share niceties of our vision and goals, acknowledging that our home church serves as a sort of nursery for our gifts and talents.
While I was still interacting with the early birds, other members sedately joined.
At 4:30pm one of our members, James, offered supplication for an insight in to the word as we entered the bible study session.
Our Theme for the day was ‘Influence .’ We drew inspiration from 2Chronicles 9:1-8 and Colossians 4:6.
Influence entails motivating other people to do things, instead of doing it yourself. In order to have influence over people, you need to understand the importance of making positive investments in people’s lives.
We examined some keys towards achieving influence such as:
Caring – People are moved and feel obligated to you when you genuinely and sincerely care for them.
Discipline and focus: Most people lack personal visions and so are seeking for those who have to follow. So when you have vision, integrity, and are not easily distracted, people will tend to follow you.
Support: people follow someone they can always lean on. If you can offer support in terms of advice, information, finance, and prayer, people will follow you.
You can’t have influence if you don’t have faith. You need to see the potential in people even if they can’t see it. Then you need to motivate them to utilize those potentials.
After the bible study segment, we moved on to our rehearsal for the Sunday presentation. We had earlier reviewed the previous sunday’s performance in a bid to excel more. We found ourselves in the piquant situation of members scrambling for ideas!
Suddenly we had a scintillating idea to perform a comedy quiz. This idea was particularly acceptable to us in view of the fact that most people were always too sombre in church, forgetting that laughter is a good medicine.
Next week’s discussions will be on ‘Living Your Best Life.’
So, stay tuned.
Royalty Home Church Reports
An Immaculate weather suddenly laced with the threat of a mild shower. However, we were reassured of a good weather as we caught a glimpse of the good old
rainbow – a sign of a covenant keeping God.
We were all overwhelmed by the raging zeal of the newest members of the Royalty Home Church as they were the first to arrive. We barely had enough space to accommodate the old and new alike, nevertheless we all felt at home.
The theme of our interactive bible session was ‘Divine Love.’ We drew inspiration from 1 Corinthians 13:1-12 and Galatians 6:10 . Lots of deep and thought-provoking contributions to the discussion led us to realize that there were lots of teachers in our midst!
We had dinner together just before our rehearsals.
The theme for our next home church meeting will be ‘Influence.’
Working on Your Ideas
Chimes of destiny, melodies of merriment and gladness echoed from the dome of Royalty Home Church as members trooped in for our weekly gathering. Even the indifferent could surely testify to the presence of the Holy Spirit as the atmosphere was catapulted from common to divine. Salutations saturated the air as each member exchanged greetings, as though the home church were an annual event.
I began the bible study segment by offering intercessory prayers to our Most High God.
The theme for the day was ‘Working on Your Ideas.’ We consulted the bible, the custodian of truth, and drew references from Luke 18:27, Romans 8:15, and Timothy 1:7.
I emphasized that we should never use prayers as alibi for timidity, laziness, and indolence. I also told my members that it is very important that we work on developing our minds in order to be able to recognize ideas when they come. This is because ideas are signals of answered prayers from God.
Our drama rehearsals for the Sunday presentation took place alongside refreshments, and when the time came to draw the curtain on our meeting, it was hard to say goodbye.
Stay tuned for another exciting story from the Royalty Home Church next week.
