Meet another one of my girlfriends, Danette.
Danette Leichty-Hofrichter is a single mother of two. Her children, Mae, a 17yr old daughter, and Alan, a 13yr old son keep her quite busy. She has two businesses; Household Help and Mary Kay.
She still lives in the same area of Southwestern PA that she grew-up in. She accepted the Lord at the age of eight. Her life enables her to keep her priorities of God first, family second, and career third.
She has quite a few friends, family members and interests to ever lead a dull life. Her favourite past-time is taste testing restaurants’ food.
“I have found three other friends that have the same desire as I to enrich women and mankind. When WD joined our circle there then became a vision of fulfilment of our desires. We are now able to have a more concrete path to obtain our goal. With the guidance and direction that WD is providing I know that we will be able to spread God’s love and purpose to all.
If you should decide to get involved with WDFMI your life will never be the same. This ministry is a positive way to impact others and find your feet still grounded while doing the Lord’s wok and having a personal relationship with God.” ~

Waiting…
It’s not one of my favourite things to do.
Becky, Tracy, Danette, and myself took WD’s counsel to wait 30 days before making the postponement decision for the Woman Discover Yourself Conference. The good news is that when God calls us to a period of waiting it doesn’t mean that we sit back and do nothing. The Woman Discover Yourself Conference may have been on hold, but WD Favour Ministries International was not!
When I look back on that 30 days I’m amazed at the ease in which we all made the transition from planning a women’s conference to building the foundation for an international ministry. Don’t get me wrong, we were met with challenges that continued to stretch us in our journey, but we easily shifted our focus to the bigger picture of the ministry.
We quickly began to work on our non-profit status, which is still in process. We began to lay the foundation with mission statements and strategies on how to reach a hurting world for Christ through the message of self-discovery.
Each one of us girls are building mission circles as a way of influencing people (currently women) right here in our own community in Pittsburgh. We also have a Friday night fellowship meeting where the core principles of Pastor WD Favours messages are being taught. Our local group is helping to support the ‘August Break’ Rural Evangelism Outreach program in Nigeria that will provide medical care, food, clothing, educational materials and information, and a Gospel outreach for many villages.
We are still very much in the process of building a strong foundation for this ministry. We are raising up strong leaders by inspiring believers in Jesus Christ to fully optimize their lives to be successful with the idea that "your personal success as a Christian is your number one evangelism tool".
Our current plan is to hold the Woman Discover Yourself Conference next summer, as we will have a larger foundation to draw from at that time. WD will be coming to Pittsburgh this summer to strengthen our foundation… and we can’t wait!!
This is just the beginning of the WD Favour Ministries International story. It is incredibly honouring, humbling, and so exciting to be in on the cutting edge of history in the making.
From day 1 of this story do you remember my answer to WD’s question, “Which three words define your personal development for 2009?” My answer was courage, risk/faith, and focus. As this story has unfolded on the pages before me I have been amazed with just how much those three traits have been developing in my life this year. It’s been huge. My life … my world has expanded in a surprisingly, miraculous way and will continue to do so.
I thank my Heavenly Father for creating me for such a time as this. I thank WD for answering the call on his life, for impacting my life, and for believing in me. And I thank my beautiful girlfriends for also believing in me and joining me in this life changing experience.
It has been my privilege, joy, and honour this week to share with all of you our amazing story.
