Don’t panic! Hope and believe

You may be in the midst of a life threatening situation right now; troubling circumstances that looks like they are set in stone.

Don’t panic! Hope and believe, because miracles still happen!

Everything you are facing today is subject to change.

So there’s hope for you.

I understand that the urge to panic in the midst of a storm is normal; panic is a natural reflex. But if you act in panic, you’ll make faulty decisions that would ultimately complicate your situation even more. Panic is not the right response to pressure.

I’d like for you to reconsider your situation in the light of this bible verse:

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” – 2 Corinthians 4:17

I emphasized certain words in the verse above – light, momentary, and ‘achieving for us’. These words reveal a higher perspective of whatever troubles you may be facing right now.

First of all, these troubles are light.

In other words, it could have been worse! God spared you from the worst of it and allowed you to face only what He knows you can handle; what He knows will benefit you on the long run. Consider what is written in the following verse of scripture:

“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Just think about it: He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. Isn’t that amazing? So don’t panic! Hope and believe. It may seem like there’s no way out of your current scary predicament; that’s just an illusion. The truth is that God has already provided a way out so that you can actually stand up under it all and win! There’s enough power within you to prevail against whatever threatening situations you are confronted with now. Choose right now to belittle your problems.

Don’t panic! Hope and believe.

Secondly, these troubles are momentary.

That means that they have a very brief and fleeting lifespan. The storm will soon be over. So, don’t panic. Hope and believe. Don’t make permanent decisions because of momentary afflictions.

I know it seems like the storm you are in now will go on forever. In reality, however, it’s only momentary and will soon be history.

Can you remember a time in your life when the clouds were so dark and everything was going against you, so much that you never imagined that things could ever be better? What happened to those storms? Can you look back and see how that a lot of those storms are now history? In fact, you’ve even forgotten all about them! So in this present crisis, don’t panic. Hope and believe for miracles, for changes, and for a better tomorrow.

Be comforted by these inspired words from the bible:

“…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” – Psalm 30:5

In other words, your current crisis has a definite lifespan! Keep this in mind. Don’t panic! Hope and believe for miracles and changes. You must choose to outlast your storms, that’s the attitude of winners.

Thirdly, these troubles are achieving for you an eternal glory.

I actually like the thought that my troubles are ‘achieving for me.’ They are working for me, serving a higher purpose.

Your ultimate glory far outweighs every immediate pain you might be experiencing right now. So don’t panic! Hope and believe.

Hope and believe in the unseen

Do not accept the difficult situations in your life – health, relationships, finances, or unanswered prayers – as permanent. Miracles still do happen. God is still at work in your life and has an answer in the unseen.

Despite what’s going on externally, no matter how long things have been the way they are, decide to hope and believe in God.

Have the attitude that you are not moved by what your natural eyes sees going on around you.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:18

The Almighty Creator of the Universe has a mighty miracle up His sleeves just for you!
Do you believe in the power of Almighty God?

If you’ll remember how big God is and view every difficult situation as light, momentary, and ‘achieving for you,’ you will come into a new season of happiness, laughter, rejoicing, and fulfillment.

Don’t panic! Hope and believe, because miracles still happen!

WD, when we were in the midst of the snow storm Friday night. I felt the Lord's calling to rescue my sister in law when she was stuck at a parking lot buried in snow. I called my parents to find out whats going on, they told me that my sister in law Jenn was stuck and was frantic about it. They were going to get her, when I told them "NO, since we are already out on the road. We will get her" (we- friends of mine & myself) She was so relieved that we were able to get her out of the cold and we got her home.. The Lord is so good and his timing was so perfect when I had a feeling deep inside to make the call to find out what was going on. I'm not afraid of the storms and nothing can scare me. But the only thing I don't like is the dark, but with the Lord by me, I Stand Strong...
