How To Sow and Reap Fast and Fabulous Harvests

My favorite part of each Sunday service is usually the time for the offering – that time-segment in any religious service when we give our monies as acts of worship to God. Offerings, sacrifices, and all other forms of material and non-material giving have been an integral and essential aspect of religious life and worship for as long as man has walked the length and breadth of this planet.

I believe that the worship of God, and fellowship with Him is incomplete without generous and sacrificial offerings.  God Himself said so in the Holy Scriptures,

“…No one is to appear before me empty-handed.” ~ Exodus 34:20

If you believe in God, and if you worship Him sincerely with all of your heart, these things should not be hard for you to understand.

I also believe that when we give to God, we receive His blessings upon our lives.  This is what Jesus Christ Himself taught us.

“Give, and it will be given to you.  A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap…” Luke 6:38

So why then is it, as I’ve often been asked by many particularly within the religious circle, do most people give offerings and sacrifices but do not get the promised abundant harvest?

I’ll address myself this week to answering that question.

I believe the reasons millions of religious people fail to reap abundant harvests from their offerings and sacrifices can be grouped into two categories:

1. Problems associated with the giving side, and
2. Problems associated with the reaping side.

I already told you I believe that the worship of God, and fellowship with Him is incomplete without generous and sacrificial offerings.  I also believe that when we give to God, we receive His blessings upon our lives.
