WD Stories 4
Let me introduce my friend, Tracy. She’s the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the WD Favour Ministries International.
Tracy Spencer resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Scott, her husband of 7 years and their 3 children, Thatcher (2 yrs), Bella (6 yrs) and Caitlin (15 yrs).
As an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, Tracy is passionate about reaching out to enrich the lives of women, while working from home and caring for her family. Before starting her Mary Kay business, Tracy worked at a Day Care where she was employed for 11 years. Recently, Tracy has started a women’s ministry group at her Church where she has been a member for approximately 8 years.
Tracy feels very strongly about the path that God has placed before her and believes that the WD Favour Ministries International is an important part of her spiritual journey.
“My dear girlfriend, Shileen Nixon, brought Pastor WD Favour into my life. If it were not for her, our paths would never have crossed. My first impression of WD was that he was a very beautiful speaker, one whom I could listen to forever. I had little or no reservations about him upon hearing his voice. It was strange actually. I was very open to what he had to offer, although, I would have never expected this kind of impact.
Prior to meeting WD, I had a good life. I was very content, with my small, simple life. I am happily married, with 3 beautiful children. I am surrounded by a wonderful family who mean the world to me. I have been blessed in life with the best girlfriends anyone could ask for. Life was good.
The impact WD has had on my life, has very much taken me by surprise. I was very content in my life. I was happy. However, spending time speaking with and getting to know WD, I have gotten reacquainted with some parts of myself that I had long since forgotten. I do like my simple life… but I remembered that I wanted bigger things, more amazing things, more passion filled things in my life.
WD has actually affected my future because he has brought me to that passionate relationship with God, one that I never experienced before in my life. I am at a place in my life where I yearn for more…and the more we yearn to learn and do and be more, the more our future holds.
If you are thinking about becoming a part of the WD Favour Ministries International, …let go of your fears and reach for and hold on to your belief. Somewhere inside you is probably a yearning for something more, and this could very well be it. The feeling of fellowship the ladies involved share with each other and WD himself is indescribable. The rewards from the mission and the work in our future are life changing. This circle has filled and continues to fill my cup, everyday…”

So what do you do when you’re met with a big disappointment?
The venue and hotel for the Pittsburgh Woman Discover Yourself Conference had been booked … contracts had been signed … marketing had already begun. Problem! WD was denied his visa!
I can imagine what you must be asking. Why would you make such commitments before your speaker was confirmed? Good question! I can sum it up in one statement WD had said to me when I asked him about signing contracts with a penalty if broken. He said:
“Girl! We’re walking by faith!!”
The conception of this ministry, which I believe started the day WD and I officially met back in October, was done so by faith. Every step we took has been by faith. It’s the only way it can possibly be. We might not always understand in the moment but with trust, belief, and tenacity His will and purpose for all things will be revealed in this journey. No matter the disappointment our job is to take the next step in front of us to take us closer to getting the job done.
So what did we do when we were met with such a big disappointment? We planted our feet firmly in our faith and continued to walk forward. There was no way we would give up that easily. We were ready to show the powers of darkness and our God just how serious we were about our calling.
While WD immediately began to create a new plan, Becky and I were busy getting to the bottom of his visa denial. Many calls to the American embassy in Nigeria were made along with anyone else we could possibly think of who could help us. Even though WD was prepared as well as he possibly could have been for his first interview, a lot was learned that has prepared us even more for the next one, which by the way is coming up in July.
WD is a man who leaves nothing unturned. Every ‘i’ dotted, every ‘t’ crossed.
He is also a man who will never take the chance of God doubting his intentions and commitments to Him. Because of that we waited 30 days to see what God might do before we officially postponed the conference. We waited until May 30th knowing the longer we waited the less our chances of getting out of the contracts. Remember, though, it’s all about faith believing that none of this has caught God by surprise and that we are right where we are supposed to be.
In just 30 days our focus would completely change. Would it be a smooth transition? Were we ready? Could it be possible that God had us laying the groundwork without us really realizing it? Could it be that this was God’s ultimate plan from the beginning? Stay tuned for the answers!!

Tracy, I love the way you write from your heart!
